Branch Manager

Position Summary

The Branch Manager will have direct P & L responsibility for branch operations for a commercial door company. The Branch Manager would oversee Sales, Project Management/Customer Service of the Regional accounts, Technicians, Safety, Training, Equipment upkeep and maintenance, and Inventory & Purchasing, Dispatching and scheduling, among other operational items. The Branch Manager will lead the branch success and will report to the Dynamic Facility Services COO.

Job Description

  • Manage the day-to-day functions of the business to ensure customer service excellence, growth and efficiency. Manage the delivery of staff as a team to make sure the company follows the annual business plan to accomplish desired goals in each of the areas of operation.

  • Responsibility for hiring, training, evaluating, and leading the team (Service and Tech Management, Service Management, Bookkeeping, Project Management and other functions of the business).

Door Technician II

Position Summary

As the primary installation and service provider, the Commercial Service Technician II handles commercial/industrial doors, door opening systems, gate opening systems, and dock leveling systems. This role involves direct customer interactions, record-keeping, and maintaining safety and operational standards, ensuring critical systems are functional and efficient.

Job Description

  • · Respond to work assignments and tasks as directed by the Service Manager.
  • · Plan, coordinate, and ensure completion of installation/service tasks with the assistance of a Helper.
  • · Maintain and restock service truck daily with appropriate materials.
  • · Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report any needed repairs.
  • · Read and follow instruction manuals for all products before installation/service.
  • · Assess root causes of problems and coordinate repairs.
  • · Check door balance with the operator disconnected.
  • · Oil and lubricate all rollers and springs with proper lubricant.
  • · Place appropriate warning and safety stickers on doors and operators.
  • · Clean up all trash and handprints from job sites.
  • · Apply maintenance stickers to doors and leave warranties and instruction manuals with customers.
  • · Respond to customer requests in a pleasant manner.
  • · Notify the Service Manager of any issues delaying project completion or any job-related injuries.
  • · Accurately record all work order site information, time spent on the job, type and extent of service performed, and materials used.
  • · Follow all company and customer-specific safety procedures.
  • · Maintain a valid driver's license and become familiar with First Aid and emergency techniques.
  • · Treat fellow employees with honesty, courtesy, and respect.
  • · Ensure the shop and warehouse are clean and aisles are free from obstructions.
  • · Return extra material to its appropriate place in the warehouse.
  • · Ensure all lifts and trailers are properly secured and batteries are charged.
  • · Observe all posted speed limits, use seatbelts, and employ professional driving techniques.
  • · Assist in unloading trucks as requested by the Service Manager.
  • · Perform secondary support tasks as requested by the Service Manager.
  • · Attend and participate in all required safety meetings and training sessions.
  • · Watch designated training videos and review new products when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • · Ability to handle stress effectively and maintain a positive outlook.
  • · Ability to change residential springs and install residential doors and operators.
  • · Ability to perform planned maintenance on commercial sectional and rolling doors.
  • · Ability to install various types of commercial sectional doors with the assistance of a level III or IV Technician.
  • · Ability to install rolling doors, change slats, and replace sections.
  • · Ability to wire commercial operators and install safety devices.
  • · Ability to perform basic troubleshooting on commercial operators.
  • · Ability to install dock seals, dock bumpers, and guides by welding.
  • · Good mechanical aptitude and familiarity with power tools.
  • · Physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds, work at heights of up to 40 feet, and operate a forklift.
  • · Ability to read and write legibly, communicate over the phone, and maintain good eyesight (with corrective lenses if needed).
  • · Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and a dirty, dusty, oily environment.
  • · Manual dexterity in both hands for hand tool use.
  • · Basic arithmetic skills for addition and subtraction.
  • · Neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
  • · Ability to be on the "On Call" schedule.

Door Service Technician Apprentice

Position Summary
The Service Technician at Dynamic Dock & Door is a critical role responsible for the service and installation of industrial docks, overhead doors, and related equipment, including some residential work. This independent and dynamic position suits a highly motivated individual with strong technical and mechanical skills. As the face of the company, the Service Technician engages directly with customers on-site and via phone, embodying the company's commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.

Job Description

  • Complete all work orders accurately and legibly to ensure proper billing and record-keeping.
  • Engage in welding tasks, operate above ground on ladders or man lifts up to 20 feet, and handle equipment installation and repair as per specifications.
  • Utilize smartphones or tablets for job tracking and reporting, ensuring all hours and parts used are recorded accurately.
  • Troubleshoot repairs effectively and make necessary corrections using a variety of hand tools and power tools.
  • Capture before-and-after photos of work performed, identify potential upsell opportunities, and communicate additional deficiencies to customers.
  • Collaborate with team members and follow directions from various leaders within the company.
  • Drive company vehicle as required and maintain professional interaction with customers and team members.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Preferred experience in welding and working with tablet technology.
  • Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment specifications and technical documents.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with comfort in driving company vehicles.
  • Required to pass a DOT physical examination.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a natural aptitude for mechanical tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team and take direction from different leaders.
  • Commitment to starting early from the main location and maintaining a punctual and reliable schedule.
